In conjunction with Brimbank City Council, the Friends hold an annual planting day which is an opportunity to get together in the gardens, put some plants in the ground and enjoy a free BBQ afterwards.
The date for this year’s event is not yet set but will likely be a Saturday in August. We generally spend from around 10am – 11am planting and then the next hour having the BBQ. It’s a great opportunity to get the family out and kids learning how to plant, plus be a community participant.
